Prelepa - has been adopted

Updated: Mar 27

Will not require much exercise on walks - rather a nice garden to play in. Scared of traffic having dodged it living next to a main road in Bosnia

For anyone who doesn't know her story.....

She was found by a lady called Edina, who approached a Rottweiler she saw on the side of a busy road in Bosnia. The dog came up to her and appeared to be very friendly but had a problem with her front legs.

Edina got her into her car and very soon, she was on her way for a vet check-up, where she was examined and found to be heavily pregnant.

A couple of days later, Pelepa gave birth to a litter of puppies who weren't expected to all survive due to Prelepas health, when she was found, but they have proved everyone wrong.

Prelepas front legs are deformed probably due to Rickets and lack of proper nutrition when she was younger.

If Edina hadn't helped her she could have been giving birth to puppies a couple of times a year with her disability. She's been spayed now the puppies are old enough so her body can rest and start healing itself

Prelepa is not is any pain and runs around Loki playing out in the field. Our Orthopeadic specialist has said to leave her legs alone as they will already be formed and we wouldnt be able to change the shape at her age. She has lost a lot of weight but we are being careful as to how much we allow her to put back on,
